A blog for those who carry, use, or are just curious about the S&W J Frame, or similar snub nosed revolvers

Is the snub nosed revolver dead? While some may consider it a simpler weapon for a different time, there is evidence to the contrary…lets explore.

Remember the four firearms safety rules:

  1. Treat every firearm as if it is loaded.
  2. Never point your weapon at anything you aren’t willing to kill or destroy (Or…Always point your weapon in the safest direction possible)
  3. Keep your finger off the trigger until you have made the conscious decision and are legall justified to fire.
  4. Know your target, what is beyond it, and 360 degrees around it.

These form the basis for basic firearms safety. If we all follow these, most accidents and injuries will be prevented.

Rules to live by as gun owners and concealed carriers:

  1. Treat everyone you meet with respect and dignity. You may not think they deserve it, but you don’t know what in life led them to where they are.
  2. Keep your ego at home when you carry a gun (lawfully of course). The ego will be great at getting you into trouble. Learn to agree to disagree.
  3. Follow your local laws. Fight them in the court, not in the street.
  4. Everyone is welcome here as long as you follow the above rules.
